Our process for developing your Speaker One Sheet is to provide a first draft based on research of provided materials, including your book, website, and any additional material or input you provide. You then review this first draft and respond with feedback and comments. We then fine-tune as necessary to produce final, approved copy.
One-Sheet Components
This two-sided marketing vehicle gives an immediate sense of who you are and what you can do from the speaker’s platform. It is the way meeting planners and speakers bureaus hire speakers. It is also a once-and-done approach to developing the language you will use on your website, book cover, e-promotions, etc. You can print hard copies of your One Sheet, post it online in its pdf version, or both, depending on how you will be promoting yourself or be represented by others.
Your One Sheet includes:
- Main Topic Title and Subtitle
Whether you already have a working Topic Title and Subtitle or not, we customize the concept and wording to make sure your message is tightly positioned to your target audience in the speaking world, i.e. organizations, corporations, and associations. In many cases this topic title can be the same as your book title, or you can choose to focus on a particular niche topic for your main speaking presentation. We will work together to decide this. Either way, we will customize your topic and topic title for your speaking audience.
This is a concise, powerful introduction to you, your message, and what makes you the standout speaker of choice for this type of topic. This introduction will also target key needs of your audience and how you provide the solutions to those needs as well as your unique ability to deliver those solutions with dynamic, breakthrough results.
This is an at-a-glance list of seven to ten benefits your audience will gain from your presentation. This is not a list of the main features of your presentation, but rather a mouth-watering array of benefits that make meeting planners want what you can do for their audiences.
This is the best way to showcase who you are and the results you deliver. Let your best clients tell how they have benefited from you and your expertise. MEP will work with existing quotes as well as create new ones as needed (for source approval) to complete the desired message of your One Sheet.

This further represents the sphere of influence and credibility that characterize you and your approach, specifically for a corporate market.
- Media Appearances (Not necessary if none are available)
Keeping your target audience in mind, we list where you have been featured in major media outlets—radio, TV, newspapers, magazines, even industry publications—to further highlight your expertise and credibility.
This is a list of the topic titles of other presentations you deliver as either keynotes or seminars. It demonstrates the range of your expertise and your ability to deliver on a variety of related and sought-after topics. We will work together to generate these additional topics and topic titles. It is a great way to generate repeat bookings right from the start.
This is a way to list any book, information product, or even a forthcoming book. We will then offer a way to purchase this book or any other product on your Fee Menu, a great way to pre-sell your book or product and at a “volume discount.”
The Bio on your One Sheet is a brief look at your greatest credentials and achievements. It’s what seals the deal that you are the expert to turn to for the results you offer.
- Other Positioning / Copy Elements
These may include additional headlines and soundbites that make an instant visual impact and draw the reader into the rest of the copy and your offering.
NOTE:
*You should have a photo of you on each side of this One Sheet.
*There will be room at the bottom of each side of the One Sheet to include the name and contact information of the speaker’s bureau that is promoting you or your own name and contact information if you are booking yourself with a meeting planner.
